FairCall is a VoIP calling app. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to the FairCall apps for iPhone and Android.
Who we are
FairCall is the calling app on this phone. For questions about this policy, email privacy@fair-call.com.
Your FairCall account
When you sign up, FairCall saves your name, mobile number, and email on FairCall’s server, together with whether you confirmed them, so your account is not lost if you reinstall the app or change phones. Your FairCall wallet balance is stored there against your mobile number. To sign you in, FairCall sends a one-time code to your WhatsApp (through Meta’s WhatsApp Business service) or to your email (through Brevo). Those providers receive only the number or email and the code.
What FairCall stores on your phone
Contacts you add in FairCall, call history, chat threads, notifications, and theme stay in the app on this device. Deleting the app erases this local copy.
Phone contacts
If you allow Contacts, FairCall reads names and phone numbers from the address book on this device so you can call and message people you already know. Those records are not uploaded to FairCall servers. We do not write back to your address book. You can turn access off in system Settings at any time; FairCall-only contacts you typed in yourself remain in the app.
Calls and messages
Calls go over an encrypted connection. Audio is used only while a call is active. Chat is kept on this phone so you can reread it offline. We do not use call audio or chat text to train models.
Payments
Each signed-in FairCall number has a wallet. Top-ups use a card or Mobile Money on a secure checkout page. FairCall credits your wallet only after that payment is complete.
Notifications
The in-app Notifications screen shows missed calls, new chats, and contact-sync updates stored on this device. If you allow system notifications, FairCall may also ask the OS to alert you when those events happen while the app is in the background.
What we do not do
FairCall does not sell your contacts, call records, or messages. We do not run third-party advertising SDKs in this app. We do not use your address book for marketing.
Legal bases and retention
We process account and calling data to provide the service you asked for. Local records stay until you delete them in the app or uninstall FairCall. Payment references are kept so a top-up can be matched if you ask for help.
Your choices
You can sign out, delete FairCall contacts, clear chat by deleting the app, and revoke Contacts or Notifications in system Settings. To delete your FairCall account, open Settings and tap Delete Account. This removes your name, number, email, and wallet from FairCall’s server and erases FairCall data on this phone; payment and call amounts are kept for accounting without your details. You can also email privacy@fair-call.com from the address on your FairCall account.
Children
FairCall is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects how we handle your data, we will update the date at the top of this screen. Continued use after that date means you accept the revised policy.
